The Jail Ministry exists to share the Gospel with the incarcerated people inside the Hawkins County Jail in Rogersville. Men who are a part of the Men's Jail Ministry serve on a rotating basis and share with inmates on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Women who are part of the Women's Jail Ministry also serve on a rotating basis on Tuesday afternoons. The Holston Valley Baptist Association has a counseling ministry called New Day Counseling. It is free and available to members of Holston Valley churches. It is recommended that church members first seek counseling from their pastors who may then refer them to our counseling ministry. Hawkins County Pregnancy HELP Center
The Hawkins County Pregnancy HELP Center's purpose is to minister to the needs of women and families of Hawkins County who are struggling under the weight and fear of an unplanned pregnancy. We offer help from a Biblical perspective and real support to meet the practical demands of a life with a newborn. Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is a program of the Southern Baptist Convention and made up of volunteers who respond by being among the first to arrive and the last to leave an area after a natural disaster hits. They help by feeding, cleaning, rebuilding and most importantly by sharing the Gospel with those they encounter. Our local Disaster Relief team from Hawkins County usually leaves for a week at a time and helps with clean up and rebuilding projects. Block Party Trailer
The Holston Valley Baptist Association has a block party trailer that any church in our association may rent for events. Our block party trailer comes with a bounce house and generator, popcorn machine with all the supplies, cotton candy machine with supplies, snow cone maker with needed supplies (except the ice), tables, chairs, and various yard games. The Holston Valley Baptist Association has a team of Baptist Builders that do a variety of projects in our local area. Their work includes everything from tree removal after a storm, to delivering furniture and appliances to those in need, to home repairs to building ramps for handicapped homeowners. Guatemala Missions Partnership
The Holston Valley Baptist Association has entered into a 3 year partnership with Emmanuel Baptist Church in Esquintla, Guatemala. As part of this partnership we will be sending 3 mission teams per year to Guatemala. The goal is to help equip the church as they do ministry in their city. Everything including medical clinics, food bags, water filtration systems, teacher trainings, and more are all conducted so that the members of the church and our mission team have the opportunity to share the Gospel with the people of Guatemala.
